Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975 film trailer). A BRIEF ABOUT: On Saturday 14th February (Valentine's Day) 1900 a party of schoolgirls from Appleyard College picknicked at Hanging Rock, near Mt. Macedon in the State of Victoria. During the afternoon, several members of the party disappeared without a trace. PARANORMAL VANISHING: Unexplained disappearance (or paranormal vanishing, mysterious disappearance and strange disappearance) is a term describing the unexplained disappearance of objects, animals or people without apparent reason or cause. Some such disappearances are given paranormal explanations. In some cases, people are reported to have disappeared into thin air before witnesses, while in others, witnesses have reported finding evidence related to a missing person, such as a trail of footprints that suddenly ends inexplicably.
