I made this video for my son Pookie, he loves the song!!! And this a good video to show too your kids..

Video of our move from Los Angeles, CA to Yakima, WA in March 2006. We left my whole family behind to start a new one. Thank you brothers and sisters for holding him so tenderly. I tried to show how precious that was too see in the video. Thank God that dad noticed that one of our wheels on the trailer was bad with a tire that was about to blow just before we left his house... Then someone on the road shattered the driver side window on my truck just 2 hours after we left. On top of that we went from rain and icy roads of Northern California to freezing cold rain and snow up north in Oregon and Washington... "Long and weary my road has been..." - 4 days later we finally arrived safely! Thanks bro for driving the other car with our baby boy! Ruby and I will never forget that! -E. I Am The Highway lyrics Pearls and swine bereft of me Long and weary my road has been I was lost in the cities Alone in the hills No sorrow or pity for leaving I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the Highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky Friends and liars don't wait for me 'Cause I'll get on all by myself I put millions of miles Under my heels And still too close to you I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky I am not your blowing wind I am the lightning I am not your autumn moon I am the night, the night.. Yeeah I am not your rolling wheels I am the Highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky But I am not your blowing wind I am the lightning I am not your autumn moon I am the night, the night.. Yeeeh, Yeeeh, Yeeeh, Yeeeh.

I love this movie. Seriously. This and Days of Thunder (which I'm also planning on doing a vid to) are two of my favorite movies. =D Used the Themesong, because its awesome. ^^ Not too much editing in this one. Just lots of action sequences. I didn't put too much effort into it because Movie Maker was starting to piss me off. Rate, comment, enjoy! ^^ Disclaimer: I do not own or claim any rights to Top Gun or Highway to the Dangerzone. They are copyrighted to Paramount Pictures (I think) and Kenny Loggins respectively. ===LYRICS=== Revvin' up your engine Listen to her howlin' roar Metal under tension Beggin' you to touch and go Highway to the Danger Zone Ride into the Danger Zone Headin' into twilight Spreadin' out her wings tonight She got you jumpin' off the deck And shovin' into overdrive Highway to the Danger Zone I'll take you Right into the Danger Zone You'll never say hello to you Until you get it on the red line overload You'll never know what you can do Until you get it up as high as you can go Out along the edges Always where I burn to be The further on the edge The hotter the intensity Highway to the Danger Zone Gonna take you Right into the Danger Zone Highway to the Danger Zone

Johnny at Bob Dylan's birthday party, Madison Square Garden 10/16/92. It doesn't get much better than this! I have a pretty good collection of Johnny Winter material. If there's an interest, I'll upload more.

LOST HIGHWAY by Hank Williams. Written by Leon Payne "Lost Highway", often assumed to have come from Hank's pen, was written by Leon Payne... Payne was a blind musician who worked out of Jerry Irby's nightclub in Houston and guested on the Hayride and the Opry. His original version... had been released on the Nashville-based Bullet label in October 1948. Colin Escott, Hank Williams - The Biography, Boston, 1995, p. 98. MYRTIE (Mrs. Leon) PAYNE: In the early days of Leon's career, he hitchhiked from one place to another, finding jobs wherever he could. Once he was in Califonia hitchhiking to Alba, Texas, to visit his sick mother. He was unable to get a ride and finally got help from the Salvation Army. It was while he was waiting for help that he wrote this song. Telephone interview, Dec 20, 1972; reprinted in Dorothy Horstman, Sing Your Heart Out, Country Boy, New York, 1976, p. 368.

BB plays and sings, but there's more of the latter than his famous guitar. Taken from the DVD "The Road to Memphis" (part of a series on the blues by Martin Scorsese)

Howlin' Wolf performs "Highway 49" at the Washington D.C. Blues Festival, November 1970. Band includes Sunnyland Slim (piano), Hubert Sumlin (guitar), Randy Joe Fullerton (bass) and S.P. Leary (drums). From the recent Vestapol DVD release "Howlin' Wolf In Concert 1970." More info at http://guitarvideos.com/dvd/13099dvd.htm

Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs with the Kentucky Thunder performs with the Boston Pops Orchestra. I wrote the orchestrations for them. You don't often hear a bluegrass group with an orchestra, but I think it turned out pretty well!
