This 10 minute video is a summary of the top ten reasons to oppose the two worst trade agreements in Canadian history, TILMA (the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement) and the SPP (the Security and Prosperity Partnership). It is the first chapter of the documentary 'Trading Democracy for Corporate Rule', and it describes 10 areas and issues that will be impacted by these agreements. Several experts voice their concerns and send an alarming message to Canadians that it is time to put an end to undemocratic trade deals that are developed with input from only the largest corporations.

Stereotypical bum, Eddie Murphy, trades places with a wealthy stockbrocker, Dan Aykroyd, when his superiors make a bet.

The Duke brothers tried to steal the crop report. But Billy-Ray and Lewis, after having been quite ill used by the Dukes, get the real report and give the Dukes a fake. The Dukes send their trader to the commodities floor with instructions to buy like crazy. Their fake report shows a tough winter, and so they're betting the price will go way up after the "official" release of the report. The trader starts buying and others see the Dukes trying to corner the market, so they start buying. This drives the price up. At just the right time, Billy-Ray and Lewis "sell" futures contracts for orange juice. They sell like crazy. They're selling contracts for orange juice they don't even own and can't deliver. (Basically short selling - in commodities all you have to do is be able to deliver at the date in the contract). Their selling drives the price down a bit. It also pads their trading account with a ton of cash. The secretary of agriculture announces that the winter did not affect the crop, so the pit full of traders freaks out! There's not going to be price pressure, so they're all holding OJ contracts that are seriously overpriced. A mad selling frenzy ensues, driving the price way down. Again at a point timed for maximum effect, Lewis and Billy-Ray Valentine announce that they'll "buy em" -- they buy back the OJ contracts at a much lower price than they sold them for earlier, netting them a huge profit. They also refuse to sell to the Duke's trader, freezing him out. The Duke's get a margin call and go bust and our heroes make a lot of scratch. Of course, in real life, trading curbs and circuit breakers would prevent either side of this play, but it is educational and funny to watch.

That I may end up overlooking another vital aspect of becoming a good trader. Psychology. And honestly, I do believe that you can understand money management principles, but if you do not understand the importance of self-discipline and emotional control? Even money management principles and strategies cannot help you as a trader. You will end up blowing up your account. So what aspects need considered when it comes to the 'psychology of trading'? I discuss that in the vlog entry below ... NOTE: This is not an investment or trading recommendation. Taken from their More Than This album. There are 2 versions of this song. Lyrics: Emily will find a better place to fall asleep She belongs to fairy tales that I could never be The future haunts with memories that I could never have And hope is just a stranger wondering how it got so bad I die each time you look away My heart, my life will never be the same This love will take my everything One breath, one touch will be the end of me You could be the final straw that brings me back to earth Ever-waiting airports full of the love that you deserve Wishing I could find a way to wash away the past Knowing that my heart Will break, but at least the pain will last I die each time you look away My heart, my life will never be the same This love will take my everything One breath, one touch will be the end of me Emily will find a better place to fall asleep Maybe she will save me in the oceans of her dream And maybe someday love Maybe someday love Maybe someday love

http://www.informedtrades.com/ The fourth lesson in a series on technical analysis for day traders of the forex, futures, and stock markets. The tool of the day trader when analyzing the forex, futures, or stock markets is the price chart. Very simply a price chart is a chart showing the movement of the price of a financial instrument over a chosen time. Most charts will allow a wide variety of time frames to be displayed and the time frame that day traders choose to use varies widely and depends on each traders trading style. In general, longer term traders will focus on daily time frames and above, and shorter term traders will focus on intraday charts such as hourly or 15 minute charts. Many traders will also use a combination of time frames in order to get a full picture of what price has been doing by, for instance, looking first at a longer term daily chart, then moving to an hourly chart, and then finally to a 15 minute chart.
