One day before -- a 17-year old boy, now identified as Asia Ferguson of South Carolina was decapitated and killed, after he was struck by the ride moving at roughly 50-miles an hour. Authorities say the Ferguson had just ridden the coaster, and had jumped two fences afterward to get a hat he'd lost. The accident was on the minds of people heading to the park on Sunday. Kevin Bowland : he must have known he was getting into some place he wasn't supposed to go into. It's a tragedy that he was able to get in there. Authorities say the Ferguson was part of a church group, visiting from South Carolina. The teen's parents were at the park at the time. This video provided by Six Flags shows the Batman roller coaster in operation. No one was hurt on the ride. SOT: if someone decides they really want to jump over a fence, they're going to get over it. Going to be capable of stopping them. This is not the first deadly incident involving the Batman ride at the park. In May 2002, a 58-year-old groundskeeper was killed after he hit in the head by the leg of one of the ride's passengers. ___ ___, The Associated Press.

(June 29)This video provided by Six Flags shows the Batman roller coaster in Georgia, where a teenager lost his life. Authorities are looking into reports the teen jumped two six-foot fences to get a hat he lost while riding the coaster. The teen was struck and killed while it was in operation, going full speed. The 17-year-old was decapitated. Authorities say the teen was in a restricted, off-limits area. The ride was shut down after the accident, but is expected to reopen on Monday. The teen and his parents were at the park with a Church group from South Carolina.
